Year: This painting began in 2020 and found its final form five years later, in 2025—layered with time, memory, and transformation.

Gentle turquoise skies. Whispering waves.
And sails—just barely caught in the wind of memory.

This painting was born from summer light and childhood echoes. I spent many summers sailing with my father on Lake Balaton, Hungary’s inland sea. There was a rhythm to it—the hush of the water, the creak of the mast, the feeling of freedom and closeness all at once.

“I’m Sailing Away” captures that fleeting, tender in-between space:
Where past meets present.
Where soft winds carry both longing and joy.
Where departure is not an escape, but an embrace of something new.

Hints of map-like lines, musical gestures, and soft textures invite the viewer into a story that unfolds slowly—like watching the horizon change as you drift gently forward.
